The Cry Of A Martyr

The Cry Of A Martyr

A poem by MK Douglas        Copyright © 2015

When I died I still crave to rest in peace
As my cry from the grave looks towards my destiny
I am one of many who left behind family I love
Being one voice of the martyrs from heaven above
A chop through my neck is what I hated to receive
It's how I expected to die for the faith I believe
Persecution caused some of us to go into hiding
But my choice was to show no fear of dying
So that ended my short lived life on planet earth
A destiny chosen by God before the day of my birth
Don't feel sad for me since my death wasn't in vain
Because for me to live is Christ and to die is gain
